Dear Sitecore Community Members,

Chirag Khanna and I presented on the topic Sitecore Smart Hub CDP from the Lens of a Beginner at Sitecore UserGroup Columbus. We want to sincerely thank Maulik Darji and Himadri Chakrabarti, for organizing the online event and giving us the platform to present.

The idea was during our good old days, when we wanted to personalize experiences in MVC Websites that were based on Sitecore XP Scaled environments, we used to configure the personalization rules in the various components, create profiles and personas to filter out our customer base and play with Campaigns and the engagement value. Everything was already available out of the box and was a part of the same application. Life was simple for a developer. Although sometimes, the marketing team used to face difficulty in maintaining it.

This has led to the paradigm shift, from a Monolith to a Composable Sitecore DxP, each piece is like a separate building block of the whole Ecosystem, that our customer requires.

As a part of this presentation, we looked at the Basics of Sitecore CDP and Personalize. The idea was, we wanted to have a detailed Use case specific session, but we had to do some ground work, before that. With this session, we wanted to achieve the basic ground work and terminologies.

Here is the PPT of the presentation:

I hope this session helps in getting started with Sitecore CDP and Personalize!

Looking forward to presenting the second advanced level session.
